In Alexandria, or the "Valley," life moves at a different pace. It's not that there's an absence of work or responsibilities; we're as busy as most people. However, there's a peace and lightness of heart that comes from living in community with God and all others. Through the presence of God's love and grace, we enjoy being together in worship, study and fellowship; we feel called to practice more faithful discipleship in a spirit of unity as the body of Christ. Together, we support one another in life's challenges and celebrate one another's accomplishments.
As pastor, I seek to empower the people to lead the church in ways that fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ, encouraging others in the faith, bringing good news and celebration of new life. We have a tradition of closing each time of worship by singing a blessing to one another--we offer the same blessing to you, this day and always: May the Lord bless you; may the Lord keep you; may the Lord lift up His face to shine on you!
